Back like it never left is the Nike Air Max Uptempo 97. In the early and late 2000s the 1980s were in so it’s only natural as we go into the next decade that the 90s will roar with enthusiasm, especially as kicks that were around for most current sneaker heads’ high school days start to be released in OG colorways. To be released this fall are two very nice colorways of the uptempo, one bred pair, and the other an Orlando Magic-esque blue, white and black pair.

Its fraternal twin which is the Pro will also be seeing a release in colorways of Electric Green/Black-White which could be some kind of a kryptonite uppers. One thing is for sure above all these – Spring 2011 would be so much better for the sneaker world!

In the sneakerhead calendar, 2010 will go down as one of the biggest years – in terms of releases. Unfortunately, there isn’t much time to let up, because in addition to the Nike Air Foamposite One for Spring 2011 releases, Foamposites will also experience a colossal release during the same season, causing some to spend a mortgage payment’s worth on shoes.

Nike Air Griffey Max 1

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

The last Air Griffey Max 1 to release was the Cool Grey/Marina Blue colorway, which everyone loved so much. That was released in February, so it’s been a good four months since we last saw an Air Griffey Max 1. Well this latest Air Griffey Max 1 caught many by surprise as most people didn’t think we would see another Griffey Max 1 this year. This latest Nike Air Griffey Max 1 comes in a Metallic Platinum/Black colorway.

Metallic platinum appears on most of the upper. Nike uses black on the ankle collar, strap, midsole, Nike swoosh, inner lining, and the lace up construction. This colorway is pretty simple and strait forward, which always works. What do you think? If you are really feeling these, you can pick up a pair now at select Nike retailers.Air Griffey Max 1

Ken Griffey Jr may be giving it up after 22 long seasons with 3 different teams, but his Swingman Series with Nike will forever live on. We all knew Griffey’s retirement was coming soon, having started in the MLB at the age 19 and now being 40, but maybe Nike was put on to a thing or two before the public.

To our surprise a brand new Air Griffey Max 1 colorway has surfaced at retailers and it couldn’t come at a better time given the fact Griffey’s retirement was announced earlier this month. Labeled as a Quickstrike and arriving at select Nike accounts, such as Sneaker Politics, this edition of the Air Griffey Max 1 features a Metallic Platinum base boxed in by a black midfoot and a black sole unit. Additional accents of Metallic Platinum appear around the openings displaying the Air sole while the Swoosh’s along the toe and heel jump back to black.

Nike Zoom Kobe 5 (V)

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

The Nike Zoom Kobe V (5) has emerged just as NBA teams begin their pre-season schedules. We’ve already seen a plethora of inspirations for the Nike Zoom Kobe 5 (V), and it seems as if the well has yet to run dry, as here we feature a pair inspired by the Iron Man character. The shoe has been decked out in a predominantly red upper, along with yellow and white accents, which are visible on the midsole, outsole, and Nike swoosh.

5 months ago we got our first preview of the upcoming Nike Zoom Kobe V (5), the 5th signature sneaker of Kobe Bryant. Judging by the emails many of you hit up us with at the time theres quite a few of you patiently awaiting more news and information about the sneakers. At this time we still dont have to many details about the sneakers or their release but we do have a few screencaps of Kobe wearing the sneakers.

This past Friday, September 18th, 2009, VersusSport put on an event to promote NBA 2K10 from 2K Sports which featured Kobe Bryant going head to head with Carmelo Anthony in NBA 2K10 on the XBox 360 gaming console. Kobe showed up in the Nike Zoom Kobe V (5) and before the game kicked off he was pretty much forced to show off the sneakers to the crowd. The camera man though only shot from one angle which sort of gave us, the viewers who were watching, the shaft. Those who were present for the event got an eyeful of the sneakers but the rest of us were only able to see the front part of the sneakers.

Hopefully one of the many people who attended the event were able to snag a few pictures of the sneakers and will post them up online soon. Until then just enjoy the screencaps and keep it locked for further details and pictures of the Nike Zoom Kobe V (5).

If you had to pick one model from the Air Max series as your favorite of the bunch, which would it be? Me personally, it’d have to be the Nike Air Max 95. The 15-year veteran took the industry by storm with it’s stylish gradient upper famously draped in shades of grey with subtle hits of colorful accents to catch your eye. This year we’ve seen several colorways of the AM95 so far and while there’s sure to be a few more to come before the year comes to an end, we’ve got an early preview of one of the upcoming Spring releases for 2011. This particular version uses various shades of grey to create the gradient pattern on the synthetic overlays with grey mesh lining the lace panels. Chlorine Blue accents appear on the various branding, lace loops and within the Air sole unit.

Nike Air Max 90  way features a very cool color combination that sounds like summertime if you ask us. Liquid Lime makes this shoe one of a kind the sort you definitely wanna have on deck.Liquid Lime has appeared on a number of Nike shoes lately, including the Air Maxim 1. This pair of Air Max 90s is the next in line to feature the soft neon hue, with this colorway hitting shelves in the coming months.

The Liquid lime lays on the swoosh and lining and also inside the visible air unit. These have just enough subtle pop to make them number one on several summertime lists.Light Charcoal leather and white mesh combine on the upper, while a lighter shade of grey is used for the Air Max window surround and midfoot eyelets. The aforementioned Liquid Lime accents can be seen on the outsole heel, cloth liner and quarter panel Swoosh.

Any mix of grey and neon green is always welcome at the doors of a sneakerhead; we recently got a Euro-release of a Nike Air Max 90 in black, grey, and volt and it looks like another great colorway of AM90 is set to drop real soon. This time, black is removed in favor of a light-charcoal upper with liquid lime acting in a supporting role, and white mesh takes place of the rip-stop nylon that has been favored in previous Ninety releases. This colorway is somewhat similar to the Neutral Grey and Mean Green Air Max 90 of last year.

Nike Wildrunner – White Blue

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

In the early 1990s, Nike stopped producing the Nike Windrunner but then decided to reissue it in 1999 in a few different colorways. A few years later, Special Nike Co.Jp models surfaced the public.

Nike’s Wildrunner is returning to retailers once again in a pretty cool color way. The retro runner is on its third release of the month and with a classic approach to style we can definitely see why they are being pushed so heavily. This current color way has been spotted across the pond at JD Sports meaning that it may not be released here in the states. The shoe has a white leather upper that is met with mesh for the toe box and side paneling. Meanwhile Blue Sapphire hits heavily on the midsole, swoosh and lining leaving Vibrant Yellow to spruce up the outsole and tongue tag.

First released way back in 1986, the popular Windrunner makes a return in this great JD exclusive colourway. With a leatherette and mesh mix upper, a large contrasting Swoosh on the side and classic Nike branding on the tongue and heel piece, this underestimated model is a must have for any fan of the Nike Air range.Nike Windrunner was a running shoe for them. Over the years, Nike has experimented with many different unique features such as imitation elephant-skin prints, a nubuck upper and nylon / mesh combinations.

The Wildrunner, one of Nike’s most iconic running sneakers, has released in a new colorway for the third consecutive month. June’s Nike Wildrunner , shown above, is now available at select spots including JD Sports . This particular Nike Windrunner features a primarily white-colored leather base as opposed to the mainly black upper seen on the previous two Nike Wildrunners. Blue sapphire, a colorway seen regularly this year (see Nike Air Force 1 Hi ), is seen in the form of the swoosh, the inner lining and midsole, while a vibrant yellow section on the outsole provides this shoe with some extra pizazz.

Nike SB Zoom P-Rod 4 High

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

2011 Collection just got a little more interesting. Not only will Nike SB Zoom P-Rod 4 High will be bringing out the P-Rod 4 but also a new cut of the celebrated model. The simplified skate shoe looks to release as in a High and the first look we get is this blue model. Surely others will follow but the real question is how do you guys feel about them? The P-Rod line looks like it has a pretty big year coming.

It might be easy to forget about the Nike SB P-Rod 4 because the 2.5 has been garnering a lot of attention. This upcoming Nike SB P-Rod 4 High was recently worn by Paul Rodriguez himself at a Sacramento Kings game; the green upper with black laces and red tongue label making for a nice Gucci-esque colorway. The suede Gorge Green upper is then met by a clean white midsole with the always classic gum outsole. This Nike SB Zoom P-Rod 4 Highis set for a Holiday 2010 release so get familiar with this sweet pair and let us know if this “Gucci” P-Rod 4 High is worth the hoopla.

Nike SB Zoom P-Rod 4 High

Nike SB Zoom P-Rod 4 High

Since catching our first preview of the P-Rod 4 back in December 2009, the sneakers have sort of faded away as the P-Rod 2.5 grabbed the spotlight and had many forgetting about the upcoming high top P-Rod model. That’s all about to change though, as the P-Rod 4 jumps back into our minds with a look at this Gorge Green colorway provided to us by N-SB.

During a recent Sacramento Kings game, Paul Rodriguez was spotted by a member of N-SB who quickly snapped a photo of his sneakers, the Nike SB Zoom P-Rod 4 High you see above. A lot of people have began calling them the Gucci P-Rod 4’s, but we can’t do such a thing. If you ask us, a solid green suede shoe defiantly does not scream out Gucci. You need a little bit more red too, other then the subtle red tongue tag seen here. Some black would help with a Gucci colorway too. But then again, we doubt Gucci was the focus here, so a lot of the comments on forums and social sites calling them a “Gucci failure” really seem a little irrelevant to us. It is what it is though. If you think it’s Gucci so be it. Nike SB doesn’t care, aslong as you buy a pair you’ll make them happy.

Nike Auto Trainer – Green Purple

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

Nike has taken a liking to vulcanized-sole (or autoclaved) shoe silhouettes recently. The latest venture comes in the form of an Nike Auto Trainer in “New Green/Purple Punch” mixed colorway and with leather and suede uppers. Despite the hybrid dna of the shoe, Nike has maintained a retro look to this shoe.

Sometimes, you can’t front on the bright colorways, and this is definitely one of them. Dubbed the “Nike Auto Trainer”, the shoe features a vulcanized (or autoclaved) outsole beneath a vibrant green/purple punch colorway. For the upper, Nike dressed it in leather and suede, providing the perfect canvas for the colorway. Look for these to retail for $85 and select Nike retail accounts.

The Nike Auto program is back at it. Having partnered numerous classic silhouettes, including the Air Force 180 (to create the Auto Force 180), with vulcanized soles, the Nike Auto Trainer  has now been given the AC treatment and is available now.

Nike Auto Trainer – Green Purple

Nike Auto Trainer – Green Purple

New Green suede and leather combine on the upper, with the former appearing on the forefoot, midfoot and heel tab. The quarter panel and toe box are both perforated leather. Purple Punch is used at various points, including on the toe tip, eyelets and tongue label. Where does this rank among other Auto designs?

The latest colorway in Nike’s Retro effort of hybridizing a classic Nike upper with a vulcanized sole comes in a combination of “fresh” colors – New Green and Purple Punch. What could pass as Capri-Sun juice-box flavors, these two colors appear on a mens pair of the Nike Auto Trainer , combining the aforementioned vulc-sole with the aggressive Nike Air Trainer SC II 3/4 upper. One might think a colorway like this would suit the young’ns better but its the men who get this fruit-loop color-combo while the kids are left with a near-OG rendition. Color mismatching aside, these new Trainers are available now at Wish and should hit other Nike Sportswear retailers soon.

Multicolored Polka Dots’s Nike Dynasty High

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

The latest pack of Multicolored Polka Dots’s Nike Dynasty High features one of the craziest colorblocking schemes we’ve seen from the Swoosh.  And that’s cos this isn’t a traditional Dynasty High colorblock based on the natural lines of the shoes, but rather, a huge spread of multicolored polka dots in shades that might remind you of a ’70s sitcom wardrobe.

The most recent sneaker pack of the Nike Dynasty High has one of the craziest color blocks or colorway schemes that you will ever see from the brand. This is due to the simple reason that it is not a conventional Dynasty High colorblock predominant base. But this has been based from the natural lines of the shoes yet in multicolored dots. It is like new year once again where getting to wear polka dots would make you lucky.

Nike Dynasty High in Multicolored Polka Dots

Nike Dynasty High in Multicolored Polka Dots

It would remind you of the seventies wardrobe which you could find in your parents’ dresser. One of the pairs feature some black and purple while the other pair has some major blues. But both share some orange spots, white accents and of course hints of lime green. Multicolored Polka Dots’s Nike Dynasty High They are definitely retro and it would make you look like a retro disco kid! You can expect these already in your nearest Nike retailers’ shops.

The warm Summer months are known to bright out the brightest colors and the wildest designs. Colorful polka pot patterns are a fixture this time of year, appearing on everything from clothing to sneakers. We actually thought we were gonna make it through the season without a polka dot covered sneaker, unlike last year where the pattern became a trend among footwear companies, however Nike’s just introduced some polka dot coated Dynasty’s.

The Multicolored Polka Dots’s Nike Dynasty High Pack features two uniquely colored Dynasty Hi’s constructed from a variety of materials including smooth leather, perforated leather, patent leather and nubuck. Each one displays a multi-colored polka dot pattern across the entire side and around the ankle. Pretty much what you would expect from a pack with such a name.
